Culture Hole TV

$10.00

Created by Culture Hole founders, Jeff Gibbons and Gregory Ruppe, CultureHoleTV had been in the idea pipeline for some time. But just like the activation of the hole itself, it was about a particular moment or an impetus. While making a place for art inside a small underground room was part of the world of 2016-2019, CHTV was made in the year of COVID. A lack of real bodies in real space made sharing in art difficult, so we reached for the tools that we have to allow for each other's voices to be heard, to stay organized, and connected. CHTV aimed to cultivate such a place, in a time when we were forced apart. "Hosted" by a Mop and a Dream Body named Greg and Jeff, the programming of artists from around the world was in direct dialogue with the time, and aimed at lending some respite from reality.
